Traditionally known as the liberal arts, the humanities and social sciences explore human society, culture, and behavior, as well as economics, psychology, history, philosophy, literature, communication, and the arts. Research these fields allows us to understand the ways that humans think and behave in society, and forms the foundation of a range of many other academic disciplines.
