Castledown is excited to announce the launch of a new open access peer-reviewed journal, Social Justice in Education, dedicated to exploring the complex and challenging issues surrounding social justice in educational settings. Our mission is to provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to share insights, research findings, and innovative approaches that advance the understanding and practice of social justice in education.

The journal welcomes contributions that address a wide range of topics, including but not limited to educational inequality, diversity, equity, inclusion, social activism in education, and the impact of social justice initiatives on teaching and learning. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive dialogue, we aim to empower individuals and communities to navigate the complexities of social justice in education and work towards meaningful and sustainable change.

Qualifications

We are looking for a professional who has:

  • Proven experience publishing in recognized academic journals in related fields.
  • Extensive experience in peer-reviewing academic articles.
  • Commitment to promoting the journal on an international scale to potential authors and collaborators.

Social Justice in Education aims to be a leading source of scholarly articles and research that:

Key Responsibilities

  • Refining the aims and scope of the journal to align with current educational trends and demands.
  • Creating and managing an effective editorial board to oversee the publication process and ensure diverse expertise.
  • Actively seeking and engaging with potential contributors to encourage submissions from a wide range of voices and perspectives.
  • Implementing rigorous peer-review processes to guarantee the publication of high-quality and impactful research.
  • Spearheading initiatives to enhance the visibility and reputation of the journal within the academic and professional communities.
  • Establishing and nurturing collaborations with relevant organizations and institutions to expand the journal’s influence and network.
  • Overseeing the overall content management and production process to maintain consistent standards of excellence.
